From humble beginnings as fan art in early 2020 to refine my skills quickly transformed into a professional venture. In the summer of 2022, my work took center stage as official concert animations for Space Laces and Getter.
This fusion of styles allowed me to perfectly encapsulate Space Laces' science fiction aesthetic while paying homage to Getter's dark and gore-inspired visuals. These animations set the perfect visual tone for both individual tours and dynamic back-to-back sets at local concert venues and celebrated festivals.
These visuals were created for the up-and-coming future bass artist, NØLL . We collaborated to capture his love for music, art, and technology. Each frame was carefully designed to blend these elements seamlessly, adding an extra layer of depth to his performances. The result is a visual experience that complements NØLL 's unique artistic style, creating a captivating atmosphere for his audience.
These visuals were crafted for our local San Diego talent, Stedicam. When he approached me, he had a unique vision - he wanted visuals that captured the essence of the 'fall of Rome,' complete with armies and fires. It was an intriguing challenge, and together, we worked to infuse his performances with the drama and intensity of that historic era. Each frame was meticulously designed to evoke the chaos and grandeur of a world in transition, providing a striking backdrop for Stedicam's powerful shows. The end result is a visual narrative that immerses the audience in the tumultuous atmosphere of a civilization's decline, perfectly aligning with Stedicam's artistic expression.
Sascha Nowlin and I teamed up for a project that turned out to be short but impactful. He approached me for visuals for his bass house project, 'Hotfire.' We wanted to pay tribute to his former partner, Eric Yandall. Our idea was to create something that reflected Sascha's love for hip hop, cars, and street racing. We worked hard to make sure every frame matched the music and captured these elements. The result is a visual story that truly represents the spirit of 'Hotfire' and honors Eric's legacy.
For Kyle Zhu's debut album, our aim was to develop a visual continuity between each track. This was accomplished through the creation of sculptures sharing a common base and waveform design, yet possessing distinctive designs that harmonized with the essence of each song.
Tasked with the exciting challenge of developing a set of six music videos, along with an introduction animation for the full mix of Dr. Ozi's EP titled 'Hive Mind pt. 1,' I embarked on a collaborative journey with the musician himself. Together, we envisioned and brought to life an immersive and dynamic experience that would not only complement the music but also amplify its impact. Each frame was meticulously crafted to synchronize seamlessly with the EP's auditory narrative.
The result is a visual odyssey that takes the audience on a captivating journey through the sonic landscapes of 'Hive Mind pt. 1.' This project is a testament to the power of artistic collaboration, where sound and visuals converge to create an unforgettable, multisensory experience.
